I booked a flight and hotel package via Cathay Pacific Holidays. The ticket was highly discounted Economy Class ticket. When I susequently asked CX if I could upgrade to PE or Business they told me that I would have to cancel the original booking and book a new package. However there would be a 50% cancellation fee.

I was wondering whatthe chances are, at the airport of getting a cabin upgrade or is it a non-starter
