I think the styles of these brands are so different that they are difficult to compare. One being elegant in style and the other (in general) being more rustic. I am personally a big fan of the overall look of Six Senses resorts are I love barefoot luxury but I don't think that they are for everyone. Having said that I've never actually stayed in one, I've been for dinner at Koh Samui and lunch at Yao Noi. I thought both were beautiful but as I didn't even see the rooms I can't comment on much more than that on them.
For the One&Only I have stayed in the Royal Mirage in Dubai. This really wasn't my kind of hotel as it was far too big - more like a village and I far preferred the two current Four Seasons hotel. I've also stay at One&Only Cape Town which I found soulless and felt like it could have been anywhere. Finally I have stayed at Wolgan Valley which is one of my favourite hotels of all time. I believe I stayed there before it was a One&Only property - not sure but it was definitely before it was owned by Emirates. Anyway I really loved Wolgan Valley and would love to return there.
However, in general for some reason I haven't really got on with One&Only properties - though I think that may be an unpopular opinion on here.
