Wonder if they do that for only certain status. The system auto checked me in and when I opened the app, there was no option to be added to the C+ list - just added to the FC list and when I went on desktop, says once checked in, cannot make changes. Its only LGA-DTW and I have an exit row so not too worried but wanted to see how the system worked. Will see what I can do about the return on Thursday as I would like the upgrade for that.
There is an option to opt out of the Auto Check-In by not clicking "acknowledge" on the screen when it pops up and click on the little X in the top right corner instead. If you wanted to be added to the C+ UG list for no middle seat on the app, the auto-check in won't bring that option up and you need to manually check in on the app. I would call or tweet DL and ask them to "uncheck you in."
