Stay Report - 9/28 - 9/29

Location: The hotel is located on Tyvola Road in a small shopping center with a Starbucks, Panera and a Chipotle. Just down the road is a sports bar called Jock and Jills. This neighborhood is safer than the area by I-85 where a number of CLT airport hotels are. CLT is an easy 5 minutes away and downtown Charlotte is 15-20 based on traffic.



Hotel: The hotel building is shared with a new Residence Inn. There's a small outdoor pool between the two as well as a number of rocking chairs. There's a comfortable, large lobby with a suite shop that sells beer and wine as well. There were never any waits for an elevator and the parking lot is large. There is a 24 hour shuttle as well.





Check In: This was my first Marriott stay post merger as a Platinum. The agent was very friendly and thanked me for my status and offered me points or a welcome amenity.

Room: Somewhat on the small size but still nice. Large king bed, SmarTV, work space, kitchennette and a bathroom with a really good shower though small in size.







This is a far nicer airport hotel than the CLT SHS and I'd gladly be back.
