100000 UA miles translate to $9090 to $20000 MQD spend. 100000 AS miles translates to 20 transcons. Assuming median price of $300 price tag for cheap transcon (can often be cheaper), $6000 spend on AS is a great value. I would accept the limitation of expansive partners for that.
