Had a very nice stay at the nines. Lovely LC property in a great location. Upgraded to club floor + 4 PM checkout. Club lounge breakfast is good, mostly continental with deli meats and some chia puddings/yogurt parfaits. Room was large and comfortable with nice amenities. Kind of surprising that the shower gel/shampoo/conditioners are in wall mounted dispensers like in an Element, but their quality was quite fine. I ended up taking a redeye home and they let me camp out in the lounge for a few hours and work before leaving to the airport.

It's true that there's an AC and marriott nearby, but if you want to stay in downtown portland, it's nice to have a luxury hotel with great service, a lounge and turndown service.
