I'm looking at BA Basic Economy on the BA nonstop SFO-LHR.
As a Oneworld Sapphire, will I be able to choose seats, and what is the baggage allowance? What about companions traveling on the same reservations?
Who sells the ticket is generally meaningless unless you need to make changes in advance. Who markets the ticket may be important - if AA, you will earn as if you were flying AA, though the operating airline is the one you’ll be checking in with and often, as most significant carrier, would be the one determining baggage policy, etc.

BA marketed will earn AA miles, etc. as if you were flying BA, even if operated by BA, as long as the flight is operated by a oneworld airline. If it’s BA operated by a non-oneworld airline, say Aer Lingus, you earn nothing AA.

BA Basic Economy marketed and operated by BA - Seat, baggage, companion policies, etc. - please proceed to the British Airways | Executive Club forum, as this is not the forum for that.
