Ignore the time it takes as it dependent on the time of day. But $7.75 is accurate - $2.75 for the bus and subway and then $5.00 for the AirTrain



And that is that
Take Uber to JFK, it will save yourself a lot of headache and stress, there is so much construction and upgrading happening on the railways in NYC delays are possible.

Also, this isn't the correct place to post this question, I would ask it in the NYC forum.
