I'm sure this is not new but it's been bothering the hell out of me for a long time so i will pose the question here hoping for some insight. I have 2 young kids ( 4 and 6) and trying to use SPG/Marriott points to book a 1 room with 2 twin beds using points is becoming next to impossible. If you indicate 3 people in the room, availability is great. I didn't think that having 2 small children in the same room as their parents is that abnormal, or is Marriott just being super greedy and wanting you to 'pay' for two rooms ? Even heard from front desk staff that having 4 people in a room is against tourism laws in certain countries ( heard this from an SPG rep when trying to book for Cabo)

Hilton doesn't seem to have this limitation btw.

Has anyone just booked indicating they are a family of three and turn up on the day of the reservation with four ?
