BA Pot Luck Supper

On this morning's BA32 which departed HKG just before midnight on 1 Oct we were given menus in First showing October's choices. The problem was that the actual catering was still September's and the discrepancy wasn't noticed by the crew and only became clear when the dishes were brought to some very confused diners.

My "Cream of Tomato" soup arrived a pale yellow colour - it turned out to be lemon chicken soup.
The main which was described as short ribs of beef became mashed potato swimming in orange sauce with overcooked fillet on the side.

A thoroughly underwhelming experience made far worse by deciding to skip breakfast on board to enjoy a fresh breakfast in the Concorde Breakfast room only to be told when we sat down in the lounge that there were no fresh eggs so we couldn't have poached, fried or boiled but we could have scrambled! Since the vast majority of dishes on the menu require a fresh egg in some fashion this was another huge disappointment. Is it really so hard to source an egg in London?
