They claim that the characteristics of the rows are the same (both exit rows) but clearly they are not - 11 has way more leg room, I had a true aisle in row 11 but now I’m squeezed next to the jump seat, and the window in 26 is not a real window. The only thing they suggested is to try again when I get to the airport to reclaim row 11 - assuming it gets unblocked.
Row 26 is a real exit row. The legroom might be slightly less than row 11 but more than sufficient for anyone to stretch their legs and to get in and out of the seat without disturbing other passengers. The jump seat that faces 27D does not squeeze any seat in row 26. Windows may be smaller but unless you are in a window seat it does not make much difference to what you can see.
When flying on the A321 I usually pick 11A but if I’m on light fare and cannot pick a seat free of charge as a SEN I am usually assigned a seat in row 26 automatically based on my previous choices. I am often able to pick a seat in row 11 when OLCI opens as I prefer to be closer to the front of the cabin but there’s nothing to be upset about a seat in row 26. Have a good flight!
