A few PCO flights were "proactively" cancelled today. A few of my family members and friends were supposed to be on one of them -WS3014. WS blamed it on WX but all of the other flights were operating. I think It's because one of the Saabs sat around all day in YYC (maybe MX) or maybe the cascading delays in YYC would cause the crew to hour out. Since WS blamed it on the weather they are on their own tonight to arrange and pay for accommodation for the night in YYC. I thought WS would treat the flights to the small centres better than AC did... Apparently not. Very disappointing.
