Get your shots, avoid using the lav if you can, as well as the tray table which according to a few studies is even filthier than the lav. If you cannot avoid using them, make sure you take protective measures. Carry a bottle of hand sanitizer around and use it. I also bring disinfectant wipes and wipe down the arm rests and tray table. Wash your hands frequently.

At the airport, never touch escalator or moving sidewalk handrails. Give your hands a dose of sanitizer after you pass security as well.
