My corporate use Egencia, the Expedia subsidry. Our guideline is book cheapest on reasonable schedule and don't mind going multi stop, so what happened was

1. HKG PVG LHR on MU - I probably won't do that again though and route via KUL
2. HKG ADD KGL on ET
3. HKG BKK DEL HEL GVA on TG + AY
4. HKG SIN BCN on SQ

Result? Every ticket is below 30K HKD for J, which I happily do that instead of CX .

BTW for Europe they often quote Aeroflot and Egyptair lately. I probably won't go with Egypt but the saving is huge and airline food is s*** anyway compare to what you eat on ground on any day. I rather spend the money at some decent restaurant than paying for "good in-flight food" these daya
tbh, yes and no
youre not thr first one i know, going to lhr via sin (or in that case nyc too) is a bit hard to explain, but there are a few sq routes that would not go down too bad if money IS an issue.
