"P" class on CX is BUSINESS CLASS!!
The bag you saw is probably that belonging to a travel agent travelling in Business Class on an AD75/AD50 ticket. (meaning they get either 75% or 50% off their fare)

1. Only front line staff (i.e. Reservations and Ticketing agents) are eligible. Please provide a staff list showing name, title and number of years employed. A photocopy of the agent's Industry ID card is also required.
2. Use your automated systems to obtain your rates. Lowest economy fare allowed is Y2R. For intra-Asia flights only, apply AD75/50 on published Y Class sector fares.
3. At least two weeks prior to travel date: call our Reservations office and make a booking in the applicable subclasses - "E" Class for Economy, and "P" Class for Business (AD75/50 tickets in First class are not permitted). Obtain a record locator for your PNR. Fax your Resolution 880 request for the AD75/50, signed by your Manager to your local Cathay Pacific District Sales office to the attention of your Sales Executive. Include your record locator on your request.
Also, AA does not print a passenger's booking class on their baggage tags. So, it is not possible that this bag came from an AA connecting flight in "Premium Class".
