I will ring CX and see what they say. I am more concerned on the Middle name issue so would ring AS on Monday to make sure the Middle Name not on the ticket would not cause issue. AS Agent did ask for Middle names at ticketing, and made sure the information in the AS profiles match with what is shown on travel doc. But there is still no middle name on the tickets. May be it is in the "secured passenger data" that the check in agent looks at. Who knows.
There should not be a problem.

I flew with an AS issued CX ticket ex-JFK and didn't have my middle name on the boarding pass. I even got PreCheck after I had them enter the KTN from my Nexus card.

When doing online check-in, if you want, you can enter your middle name in the first name field and get the warning message. Just ignore the message. I've done this many times and never had any issues.

IMHO, calling AS (or even CX) and making a big deal out of this will probably just cause you more problems due to misunderstanding etc.
