- When reaching the airport, you can use the 1st door entrance (Premium Services Check-in) which is for First Class/Solitaire PPS customers only. You can give your ticket to the receptionist and your bags will be taken care of from the curbside.
- Check-in is done in the FC/Solitaire Check-in Lounge.
- You can then visit Silver Kris Lounge (First Class). It pales in comparison to CX's The Wing in Hong Kong, but it has most (if not everything) you need: good F&B, smoking room, movie room, internet terminals, showers, etc.
- SIN-PVG flights are served with either B777-200 or -300 aircraft. None has the SkySuites in F. However, for day flights, the F seats are more than adequate. There are 3 rows on the -300s and 2 rows on -200s.
For more privacy, I prefer 2A/F on the -200s or 3A/F on the -300s which are the last row seats.
- Food is usually good (have never been on CX F to compare). You can request "Book The Cook" which is reserving your specific meal in advance. Something not available on CX. Visit
www.singaporeair.com to see the menu.
- Due to the flight times and duration, you might not get the Bvlgari amenity kits & "Givenchy" sleeper suits. The sleeper suit design is nothing special but they are VERY comfortable to sleep in.
- IFE: Older B777-200s and -300s do NOT have AVOD, while the newer planes do. How to find out: If the video screen pops out from the
front of your armrest, you don't have AVOD. If it pops out from
top of the armrest, you have AVOD.
- Krug and Dom are both served on board.
- Baggage will be First priority of course.
