Realistically your options having booked on a LH ticket using a travel agent might be very limited. Have got asked the travel agent yet what LH can do for you?

Air NZ aren't going to be able to help you since you didn't book with them.

One other option may be to see if you can fly HND - HKG and then fly HKG-AKL.
