​​​​​​To answer your question on calculating value, look at what a revenue ticket would cost, then take that, minus the surcharges the award ticket will cost and divide by the number of Avios required.

E.g. if the revenue fare (R) is 600 USD and you can book the ticket for 20k Avios (A) + 200 USD (S) then your value is

V = (R-S)/A

i.e. 400/20000 this 0.02 or 2cpm
