I often buy Delta tickets with Ultimate Rewards miles via the Chase portal rather than use Delta miles when I'm able to use less Chase Ultimate Rewards than Delta Skymiles for the same ticket. When buying via Chase, I also get mileage credit on Delta when flying.

I was looking this morning at an international trip that was coming up for far less miles on Chase than on Delta, enough of a difference to not make sense.

I then realized that Chase was going to book me in basic economy (class E) tickets. Chase also books standard economy tickets as well, but, in my opinion, Chase doesn't clearly enough indicate when a ticket is basic economy. I wish one could opt out of searching for such tickets.
