Have done it in the past with DL and KL issued tickets with no problems with status recognition as long as SM number is attached.
Currently in the middle of RDU-DTW-PEK round trip purchased through Chase UR, part points, part cash. All miles and MQD for the outbound were posted by the time I landed in PEK. Note that UR uses a ‘dummy’ cc number that appears on the DL receipt. Many, many years ago, when using a new cc for a flight, I was asked for the card when checking in. Haven’t had that happen with my UR purchases.
