Emerald Club online reservation issues
Has anyone else found that reserving a car has become more of a hassle since the new emerald club was rolled out? For some reason, the reservation page now defaults to Full Size and if I don't notice and change it, I get quoted the full size rate. Also, if I book more than one reservation, the second time, the screen says Intermediate (since I change it), but if I click on that box, the full size comes up highlighted and I get quoted full size again, unless I click on the intermediate link again before getting a quote. It really annoys me when they "upgrade" the program and it means I end up paying more or jumping through more hoops to get the same rates and service I used to get. Also, why is the National site unable to scan for the best available rate. I recently made a few weekend reservations, which I'm sure would have been cheaper through an Emerald Aisle weekend plan, but my corporate rate showed up. I went back and plugged in a few other corp codes and found a cheaper rate, but it would be nice to have the system do that for me.
