Refurbished 757-200 vs 737/a320/etc.
I purchased a ticket from San Francisco to JFK on the 757-200. This transcontinental version has been refurbished by Delta and has all the modern features - from the responsive IFE screens to mood lighting. I assume the engines have also been modernized. However, looking at the planes that are utilized by Delta on this route some of the air frames are 28-29 years old.
I am not really concerned about the age (this topic has been discussed here), but curious about this: would one feel any difference in this much older plane in terms of noise, air quality, climate control/cabin, temperature, turbulence, or anything else compared with the newer narrow body planes in terms of design - such as 737-800/900NG or a320/321? Some a320s are also quite old, I know, but most a320s flying today are actually different from the initial versions of a320s and were produced in the 2000s.
In other words, would I feel in any way that this 757-200 plane model is "showing its age"?
