I've stayed multiple times both for business and family and will be staying again in the next few weeks. If you're looking at it due to its location to the Magnificent Mile, its in a great location for that. Also close to restaurants and Rush street. I've always experienced good service but the hotel and facilities won't wow you. The breakfast in the exec lounge is fairly basic with continental and hot eggs. The restaurant changed over about 1.5 years ago that is good for families but there are better options nearby. The elevators are slow but not significant in my opinion. If you want to be close to museums if traveling with family, this probably isn't the best choice.
