I was never a medallion level prior to this year's complimentary status so I don't think I received SM status because of the switches to MQM that happened. The letter said something to the effect of complimentary status because of the large amount of business I gave them in 2003. Since I only had 13,000 MQM, I read "large amount of business" to mean the dollar value I spent with Delta. I've been tracking my spending this year vs. MQM and I'm at $0.19/MQM. This is with about 60% flights from CVG and 40% from DAY (would be much worse without the DAY trips). I would be interested in hearing how other people stack up with cost per MQM.
