FUK International Departures and Chinese tourists and their duty free
Just recently returned from an itinerary that took me via FUK for the first time in maybe 8/9 years.
I'm actually quite glad I took FUK this time over KIX - it was cheaper and as luck would have it, it saved me a lot of hassle of rerouting flights due to the typhoon at KIX.
Anyways my KA flight was delayed due to IRROPS at HKG ( technical issue with plane) so was 2.5 hrs late incoming.
Whilst I was waiting I had the amusing sight of watching multiple Chinese tourists stuffing / condensing down duty free in to holdalls and just leaving the rubbish for airport staff to clear away. Is this kind of thing common and how does the airport tolerate such flagrant littering ? . My wife says they are doing it as a business - people really come all the way to FUK from PVG etc just to buy duty free ?
