Consider that some gas stations may code the inside register as gas because some customers pay for gas there, and other gas stations may code the inside register differently. (At some "gas stations", the inside register is actually run by a separate company from the pumps.)
Have you looked at how the ones that posted automatically coded in terms of category vs the one that didn't? Was this one gas station you used repeatedly, or a gas station you had never used before, that you ran into a problem with?
It's safer, I would think, to use a gas station where it has worked before.
