It is perhaps (among the) most likely to decrease if a big group that had reserved a bunch of seats had cancelled (or changed flights). Can you predict if/when that will happen? If not, how can you predict if/when prices will fall?
Southwest is a popular airline with school groups and all sorts of other groups, perhaps because of no aeat assignments to worry about (easier for certain members of a big group to sit together on an open-seating airline than on most legacy airlines), and that's why I bring up groups cancelling.
