I am PLT in MR and Diamond in HH. I just called the Diamond desk and was able to book a reward stay this coming weekend in Las Vegas in a sold out hotel.
These are all the reasons I don't belong to Marriott...I was just surfing the site and had never looked at the Marriott thread before, and this reinforces why I no longer book with Marriott.
They have very consistent properties across all brands, but other than that, and they seem to be everywhere, I can't think of any good reason to be a Marriott member.
I am platinum SPG and NEVER have any problems booking award nights, they run good (not great) promotions, and their high end properties and resorts are significantly better than Marriott's.
Can anyone tell me why you keep giving Marriott your hard earned money?
