I'm staying there for the first time in a couple months. Although I've never stayed at this property and I'm reading reports here of people getting upgraded to Jr Suite, I no longer anticipate any upgrade at Hilton. I booked Deluxe Plus Seaview, because that's the room type I think I'd be happy with assuming no upgrade.

I think these days you have to assume no upgrade. I'm Diamond and I've stayed in probably over a dozen different properties over the past year in HKG, Jpn, SIN, USA, Canada. I honestly cannot recall getting a single actual upgrade (not counting "upgrade" from Standard King to Executive King which is not at all an upgrade for someone who gets EL access regardless).
