No, I believe it was a rental my friend made through you/Priceline. Or maybe directly on the Hertz website. I don't recall as it has been over a year. Her mistake was to book first (a one-way within British-Columbia), then sign up with Hertz Gold Rewards, then try adding her new number to the reservation. No dice. I was there with her when she tried it over the phone and when she tried it in person at pickup at YVR. They just offered a new booking at a much higher price - or no points. She took the latter option and is since renting with Enterprise again.
The YVR Hertz station even refused service at the Gold customer line, because her membership didn't show on her reservation, and told her she had to go to the other section of the counter - although she was the only person there and was immediately served by the same agent! It was ridiculous.
