Last time we went to Ubud we stayed in a beautiful hotel in a villa (partial outdoor living) with private infinity pool overlooking one of the gorges. Just loved it. But I'm not too sure that is a good idea this time around with the baby. He will probably walking and we have no idea what he will be like at that time. I'm thinking we will have to stay in rooms without pools (or at least with pools that are not so easily accessed from the room) so that I'm not constantly stressed about him falling in.
I would love to hear any recommendations if you have them. I'd love to stay somewhere with great views of the jungle, great service, child friendly, not too hard to get around (like not tons of steps everywhere), with a true Balinese feel. Most of the lux resorts I find online either have all private pools, or have lots and lots of steps, or no real view, so suggestions greatly appreciated..
Also in other areas of Bali currently we are looking at these hotels:
St Regis – Nusa Dua
Batu Karang – Nusa Lembongan
IC – Jimbaran
Maybe somewhere in Seminak, or Sanur-ish or somewhere on the north coast
I’d love any feedback, especially if anyone has been to Nusa Lembongan and knows if it’s doable with a 14 mo old.
Thanks!
Just realised that above is an old quote ( as I replied & it does not seem to allow me to ‘ unquote ‘ unless deleting manually ? ) as the page scrolling somehow landed there .
Anyway for those travelling globally , SQ has children ’ s toys , paraphernalia & crew who are very helpful even baby sitting ..
Also various Amans have good help too .
The new Amanpuri Wellness Centre is about to be open & it even has a menu which includes children .. Then their Youth Discovery area .
The Indon Amans too take great care of children including the Aman Villas at Nusa ; just have to email whichever of the Amans around the world before you stay & make arrangements , you just may be surprised what they can do ( to what extent

) / offer but one should not be since an Aman

..
