Just a question....if you are a Diamond, and are using OLCI, and the hotel you are checking into Hilton Honors floor or floors, why isn't at least a couple of rooms from those floors offered automatically (of course, if any are available)?

Back story...now at Hilton San Diego Gaslamp. OLCI offered a 3rd floor King. Using the mapping views, I selected a 5th floor King, the highest room with a King showing available . When I arrived, and knowing the place is jammed, I asked about any Diamond upgrades. The front desk person said all Suites are booked, but she very quickly offered a 12th floor room, which is a Hilton Honors Floor. OCLI didn't show any floor above 9! By the way, the room is excellent, with a great view...so I am very happy with the end result.

Just wondering, why OLCI wouldn't offer a Hilton Honors Floor to a Diamond? No doubt I am a Hilton Honors member...seems like an obvious option to me...
