Radisson Hotel Charlotte Airport

Stay Report - 9/18 - 9/19

Location: Despite its airport hotel name, the hotel is actually a little further from CLT than the main crop of CLT hotels. It's located to the east of the airport on Billy Graham Parkway on the east side of I-77. Do be advised that this is definitely a seedy neighborhood so around the hotel are a number of run down restaurants, stores, a strip club, a shady looking Ramada that had the cops at it when I got there and a Baymont Inn. The hotel is set back pretty far from the road and driving around the pot holed parking lot can be confusing.

Hotel: Despite its location, the hotel itself is quite nice. It's less than a year open and is overall pretty inviting. There's a comfortable lobby with sweet shop, 24 hour business center and 24 hour fitness center and an outdoor pool shared with the Ramada. There's also a large parking lot.

Check In: Despite me giving my last name and handing the agent my ID, I was given the keys and folio to another room for someone with a completely different last name from me. I was glad I noticed as this is a major security issue.

Room: Very nice, better than the average Radisson room in fact. Large, comfortable bed, desk, chair, large TV, really nice bathroom with stand up shower and outlets near the bed. Plus blackout curtains which are always appreciated.

This is consistently one of the cheapest Charlotte hotel options. Minus the location and hiccups at check in I'll likely be back.
