This article did not note if the 777-300s are direct-buys from Boeing. Their last 7773ER order was for leased aircraft already purchased by GE Leasing, so they did not add to Boeing's production.
I believe Emirates is one of the few airlines interested right now in the 7E7-9 (stretch), as Boeing has decided to wait until 2012 to launch that aircraft and spend the effort on the 7E7-3 (short range) and 7E7-8 (baseline).
Airbus likes to wait for the "big shows" to announce their deals and with analysts grumbling that no A380s have been ordered since October 2003, that Airbus would be announcing some orders for it. Etihad Airways of the UAE is expected to order a mix of A380s, A340s, and A330s at Farnborough. And Virgin Atlantic is expected to order 30 A340s.
Gulf Air is expected to place a 7E7 order (possibly at Farnborough) and, once the political wrangling is finished, China will be ordering 50 7E7s for her various state airlines (probably end of year).
