Ive had a weird experience, earlier this year I flew basic economy Lhr-ord had free seat selection and hold baggage lounge access etc... booked another Lhr-ord in basic economy a few months ago for October and did not have free seat selection and when I checked a few weeks ago I could choose MCE seats... maybe a glitch?
