I suspect poster is talking continental meaning intra USA and not Continental from Houston?

Certainly with CO (from Houston!) I often had awards issued in names I nominated - relatives etc, using my points.

I imagine most airlines will do that as long as member with points supplies ID, such as PIN that CO always needed.

If not same surname, they often want member with points to be presentt at ticket office when award tix issued.
