Today my wife applied for the Citi AA business. She has no other citi cards or citi applications is years. Her last city card was closed years ago in good standing. FICO is good 770 to excellent depending on bureau. She had no applications (except a Target card in 2017) with any bank since a car loan in 2014. This year she applied with Chase in March, Amex in April and chase in May. A card was issued each time with automatic approval. In May she was added as an AU on another Amex. Today she was auto denied for the Citi AA business. We spoke to recon rep and while very polite both ways, business income was legit, income was more than adequate for a citi card, rep insisted to review the denial letter. Any insight?
