IIRC, those last three letters may be the reason. The flight information displays at LGW are controlled by LGW and run according to scheduled departure time, not the real-time estimate on the day.
Having lurked these boards for quite a while now is it just a general assumption that anything related to a problem re BA is its own fault and never due to something else ? (Referring to original post..)
