I had the misfortune of flying from FDF to ORY last week in Y. I frankly do not understand how AF gets away with cramming so many seats into the 777 for Caribbean service. Seats were uncomfortable, with little padding, leg room was very limited, service was horrendous, IFE screens were low resolution and difficult to navigate, food was barely edible, temperature inside the aircraft was uncomfortably hot, and every seat was taken. I understand that this configuration of the 777 is only utilized on Caribbean and Indian Ocean flights, mostly to French Overseas Departments (DOMs), and not to other destinations. I wonder why the residents of the DOMs do not flee to the other carriers such as Air Caraibes, and CorsAir? I, for one, will avoid AF on this route.
