Apologies if previously mentioned but I couldn't find a mention of it.
This new build 240 room Hampton has now appeared on the Hilton website, supposedly ready to open in January but booking isn't yet open.
Hopefully will be a welcome addition to the Edinburgh area, and is advertised as being within walking distance of the terminal.
Based on the Maps on hhonors.com it looks like it will be a more convenient walk than the Doubletree (nee Hilton) -- especially coming out of international arrivals, though it's not clear what the sidewalk/footpath situation is like. Makes me even less optimistic about the long term prospects of the EDI DT as a member of the Hilton family -- though my two solidly "meh" stays in the past 18 months may not be that accurate of a barometer.
