Rookie question - is there a downside of scheduling Iberia two one-way itineraries vs round trip. There is uneven number of avios in my husband's and mine accounts and since on Iberia we can't use a household account, it would make more sense for us to reserve 3 business awards for us and our kid on my account flying to Madrid and then 3 economy awards on his account for our way back. Is there a downside to this approach?
Sub-question: Do they charge a fee for cancellation or chages? We usually fly Southwest and are spoiled by the flexibility of their program in this regard.
