KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes

Load either direction for the first few weekends looks light for ewr-sin

I've been distracted by QR PC customer service the past couple of days & have only just seen this (it is almost 1am SGT)
Today (Sep 19) is the last day to book, & here's what I've found so far :
(I have not yet made any bookings as of now - just trying to get flight dates to coincide with decent hotel rates is proving hard)

EWR - only weekday travel dates left, min. stay of 3N is available but very very limited. Stay of 5N or more is easily available tho'

LAX - some weekday & weekend travel dates avail. according to the fare calendar but when I tried to select the inbound on a few random dates, it is always showing an extra S$600+ added to the fare, I will check again tomorrow (or rather, later today). It is probably a calculation/pricing error

Awesome fares tho' I am a bit surprised that SQ is offering such deep discounts to their PEY product but UA did the same for LAX when they launched the non stop to SIN with r/t fares going for as low as US$375 (for Y), if I remember correctly.

Would love to hear if anyone managed to make a booking to either LAX/EWR - if not, today's a good day to book!
