I purchased flights on El connecting from AA metal flights. The flights on my itinerary have AA flight numbers, operated by El Al. The El Al online seating chart will not permit me to select seats. AA told me to call El Al. The El Al agent told me I could select seats, but they are at least $15 per person per segment.

Anyone know if this is correct information; and if not, how to handle? Thanks.
