Would I have to cancel this card to be eligible for the SPG luxury card(30 days after canceling) or is that just the Ritz card?
People with the Marriott Premier Business card were automatically converted to the Business Premier Plus card on August 26. My existing business Premier card is a signature Visa, but it doesn't have the word Premier on it. If you got the business card a couple of years ago, the business Premier was the one that was open to applications at that time. So there is a good likelihood that you had a Business Visa Premier card that was automatically upgraded to the Premier Plus on Aug. 26.
If you want to know for sure, then log onto your online business account with Chase. You can send Chase a SM (secure message) to verify the type of card you have. I just logged into my account, and it is just referred to as a Marriott Business account.
I don't know if Chase plans on sending out new cards or not. I am guessing they won't send out a new card until the existing card expires.
