You can't meander around at Hertz LAX. It's a huge lot with nothing within easy walking distance...even the walk-in entrance/exit is at the complete opposite end of the lot from PC. As for any other airport, I'm only looking for a vehicle. Other than possibly going to the bathroom, I don't leave the rental facility for any reason. I wouldn't care if it was busy or not, either, in fact if it was busy, the more so that I'd take the keys and lock the first vehicle that catches my eye.
