I have recently been charged by Hertz Cyprus for pre-existing damages. I filed a chargeback claim (as Hertz Cyprus is not responsive). I told them I have photos both at rental and return as well as a vehicle condition report signed by their personnel stating "ok" at return. I mentioned I could send them all the pictures and they could match them up with pictures provided by Hertz to check. They claim they will not accept pictures as proof. Huh? So how then are they going to research the issue? If I can't provide pictures, I assume Hertz cannot either. How is Hertz to prove that there were any damages at all? Without photos how will Hertz prove any damages were "pre-existing"?

This is ridiculous. I am still awaiting the outcome of their "review" but the dispute reps are terribly unhelpful. They cannot discuss particulars of my case since it's with a "special unit". They do not know timelines or deadlines. Over and over they just state "wait". Meanwhile the clock is ticking on me being able to file a CDW claim (which I clearly can do). I wonder if that team accepts photos.
Absolutely Agree !! When CVS would not accept that I had rescinded a chargeback for undelivered, CVS wanted Chase to send proof that I had reversed the chargeback. My Credit card statement was not good enough proof. The charge back team at Chase was no help at all! Fortunately I was received the items from CVS that I disputed plus a second delivery of the same items (in this case, medicine, so I was able to use both deliveries). Therefore, I was not out money. Other wise, I would have gone ballistic with both companies for their stupidity. Please update us on your dilemma. We are in your corner.
