Qatar were exceptional in the air. The A380 J seats lack privacy which is a let down. DOH airport and lounges are soulless(Al Safwa worse than Al mourjan) and transferring is a pain.....Airport is way too big! As I said, I'll be going back to QF paper, EK metal....tried and trusted partnership full points and status credits - all round service. The fact they shut down an office for 3 days tells me they are still a 3rd world airline. Qantas doesn't shut down for 3 days over Christmas or Easter.
