Why would he change them onboard when he will need them more when he is actually on his feet and working?
I think the question is what if this individual is wearing these shoes to get to work, and once he gets to work (the aircraft) he will change into the company approved footwear? Why does it matter what he's wearing before he is onboard performing his duties? I know a lot of people who change their footwear in the office before they start work.
