One of the better hotels I've stayed at

Check In At arrival the concierge outside will help you with your bags and take hold them until you've checked in and can be brought to your room.I arrived at 6am in the morning, and despite not having added early check-in to my booking they still let me check-in to my room and even enjoy breakfast the same day. They'll bring your bag to your room so remember to have some local currency on you! I ended up literally having no cash and became a somewhat awkward situation... Room I had their standard room with view over the river. The room was massive and beautiful. King-sized bed, small area with couch and two chairs, office setup with a proper desk, huge wardrobe and an absolutely incredible bathroom which had a separate shower and bathtub. The curtains and shades were fully automated by switches next to your bed. Looking at the room with the window behind me The view over the river from my room, stunning. Service Service at this hotel was overall great, even felt like they had hired a lot of people just for the sake of having a lot of people. It seemed like there were 30 staff members working at the breakfast area every morning. A person who just told me "Goodmorning sir, this way" whenever I came down the elevator. And a person who did nothing but press the "Brew" button on the coffee machine. Concierge service was generally also great, however there is somewhat of a language barrier. I phoned to ask for some batteries as I was in need of some for my appliances and after trying to tell them what batteries are for 10mins they ended up delivering two towels to my room instead... Dining I didn't try any of the restaurants at the hotel, I enjoyed their breakfast and their bar on the top floor (30th) of the hotel. Their breakfast was amazing, don't think I've ever seen that much variety anywhere. They had a sushi station, dumpling station, coffee station, ice cream station, yoghurt station, egg station and it keeps going. All of the stations manned by staff and chefs creating fresh food constantly. Only thing the breakfast did lack was some choices of freshly squeezed juice. The hotel bar on the 30th floor was also relatively good, decent cocktails for reasonable prices (~14euro for an old fashioned) and you have a great view while enjoying your drink. Location How great of a location the hotel is at really depends on the purpose of your visit. It's in the middle of the financial center so there's really not much more to do than look at tall and nice looking buildings. Overall In general this is one of my favorite hotels and I will try to come back next time I'm in Shanghai! For the price of 150-200euro per night it's honestly amazing!
